The Jackets dominated singles play, winning 5 of 6 sets. Bolton won her set 8-1, McGuirk 8-2, Parrish 8-4, Savannah Adams 8-4 and May-Murphy Adams fought back to win 8-5.
Surrett fell 8-4 and the Jackets took their second straight win 7-2.
The next night saw the boys and girls on the road at Hewitt-Trussville and both teams lost 9-0 to a strong Huskie team.
“ We fought hard and never gave up. We had some close games, but they did not fall our way,” commented girls coach Kim Bolton.
Rain postponed boys and girls matches with Shades Valley and Sylacauga last week. The Jackets last regular season match is today as they host Sacred Heart and then Monday they are in the sectionals as the state playoffs begin.
