Recently, several members of Golden K Kiwanis read to students at Hobson City Head Start Program. Two of the readers were Betty Jacks and Barbara Trull. In other news, the chapter shared the following information:

• David McCormick, CEO of Regional Medical Center in Anniston, recently spoke to Golden K about the many services RMC offers the community.

• Golden K is to host the Special Olympics at McClellan Soccer Field on April 26. They are soliciting donations from local restaurants to help them feed the 400 or so children who will take part in the event. Call 256-239-0855.

• The next meeting of Golden K will be at 6 p.m. on Tues., Apr. 24, at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Oxford. The group will celebrate their 25th anniversary with special guest Don Hudson. He founded Oxford Golden K Kiwanis 25 years ago. Hudson is director of Oxford Park and Recreation Department.
