Alice Duckett, author and speaker, continues her eight-stop book tour of area libraries/schools with an appearance at the Hobson City Public Library Oct.19 at 1:30 p.m. Duckett will be in a jungle costume to read her children’s book “One Step At A Time” at storytime to Headstart children. Pre-school children in the area are invited. The library is located at 610 Thomason St., Hobson City. New Librarian Donna Ross is planning programs to instill a love of books in children, plus she is asking for volunteers to help get donated books ready to go on the shelves.
